Missourians Honored in an Alabama Church's Stained Glass Windows

St. Peter's Catholic Church in Montgomery, Alabama is the home of two stained glass windows honoring the 128th Field Artillery Regiment of the 35th Division. The windows were dedicated in 1922 by Father Patrick Turner, an army chaplain who served in the 128th with these men, nearly all of whom were St. Louis, Missouri natives. The "soldier window" was donated by veterans of the 128th, while the "sailor window" was donated by members of St. Peter's parish.
