The Carroll Bunch Collection from the State Historical
Society of Missouri contains photographs that detail Bunch’s service as an
aerial photographer during World War I. Carroll
Bunch, an Oakwood, Missouri native, served in the 149th, 1107th, and 1102nd
Aero Squadrons during World War I. These
unique photographs depict airplanes, hangars, pilots and soldiers. The collection also includes two aerial
photography diagrams.
